Faith. What is its true meaning? Faith is having trust in something, or someone. An example of having faith, is in Matthew 9:27-30 when two blind men came up to Jesus and asked Him to heal them. Jesus asked them if they believed He’d be able to heal them. They replied, “Yes Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, and said, “According to your faith let it be to you.” And they were healed! They were able to see. Imagine, if you were stuck in the middle of the ocean with nowhere to go for help, and suddenly someone came up to you, in a rickety old boat and said they’d get you back safe. Would you trust them? Or would you decide not to, and possible end up drowning. If you trusted them, and they got you back safe, that would be called having faith in them. You believed that they’d get you back safe, and they did. How can you lack faith? Do you lack faith to know that God is with you? Or to overcome sin and guilt? To be healed of a certain sickness?
