Roadblocks

Faithful to the End Part 6 By Caleb Tam If you are traveling along a dusty road, and there is a huge roadblock in the way, are you going to reach your destination?  No!  You and I are on that narrow road which leads to heaven.  Are their roadblocks in our way?  Could there be some sin we are clinging to?  Some grudge we're holding, some thought, feeling, habit, or addiction we're not willing to give up?  If we leave those roadblocks sitting there in the middle of the road, we are not going to reach our heavenly destination.  Perhaps you're thinking you're not strong enough to move those roadblocks out of the way.  You're right!  You and I aren't strong enough to move them out of our lives.  But there is good news.  That's not your job!  In fact, the master road builder has been wanting to remove the roadblocks for years, but he hasn't been able to  because you have chained them to the g...

Time

Faithful to the End Part 5 By Caleb Tam God has given each of us a certain amount of time on this earth.  How are we using it?  George Wishart was a Protestant Reformer in Scotland who devoted his life to God and spent every second of his life fulfilling God's purpose for him.  He traveled extensively, telling others of the love of Jesus and pointing them to the one and only true God of the universe who cared for them both personally and individually.  He was captured and cruelly martyred in 1546 at the age of 33.  Wishart gave his best to his Master.  He passed on the torch of truth to young John Knox, who continued the work that he had started.  Use every moment that God gives you to further spread the news of His soon return.   We have a duty, and that is to tell the world that Jesus is coming soon.

Battleground

Faithful to the End Part 4  By Caleb Tam Imagine you are on a battlefield.  Imagine are in the midst of the deadliest war ever fought, which is at its climax right now.  But in this battle, there are no neutrals.  Everyone must choose a side.  Imagine you and I are independent neutral powers.  Before us is the decision we must make, deciding which side we will support.  However, we already know which side will win.   The winning power offers to give all of its supporters palaces, longevity, wealth, and happiness after the war is won.  Their courageous leader was the wealthiest man on the planet, but he valiantly gave his life in the heat of the battle.  Now all of his stores of unlimited treasures will be given for free to those that will choose his side.  All that is required of them is that they fight for the short remainder of the battle. Let's look at what the other side offers if y...

Share the Light

Faithful to the End Part 3 By Caleb Tam Jesus is coming soon.  As we've covered the last couple days, we know that our probation is about to close, and we must have on the spiritual armor if we want to prevail when times get tough. These days are days of decision. It is now that many will be making their final choices, deciding where they will spend the rest of eternity.  We have a duty to tell the world about Him.  We know all this information, but if we keep it to ourselves we are not fulfilling the work Christ has laid out before us.  Thousands of people are out there who have never even heard of a loving, merciful, forgiving, and soon-coming Savior.  But time is running out for them!  God calls each and every one of us to spread the new of His soon return.  This should also be an indication of how deep a relationship we have with Him.  Matthew 5:15 says, "Ye are the light of the world.  A city that is set on a hill can...

Preparation

FAITHFUL TO THE END Part 2  By Caleb Tam Last time I talked about how we know we are living in the last days and that probation will close very soon for us, who know the truth.  The question dealt with was, "Where are we going?"  Today, we will look at how to stand in the last days.  Let's take a look at some great advise straight from God's word.  Ephesians 6 compares the character traits necessary for the Christian walk to the armor of a soldier.  It tells us how to "stand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."  These days are evil and I pray that it is our desire to remain standing spiritually though the whole world is standing against us. The first element necessary is the belt of truth.  We need to be unflinchingly true to our consciences and to God no matter the consequences, and remain trustworthy as the "needle to the pole" if we want to win the most crucial battle ever waged.  Second, we need to have ...

Probation

FAITHFUL TO THE END Part 1 By Caleb Tam Signs of the times are everywhere. In Matthew 24, Jesus is telling His disciples what must take place before His return. He mentions wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, people claiming to be Christ, the sun and moon being darkened, stars falling from heaven, and others. After these terrible calamities the next thing referenced is Jesus coming back! Just where are we in this scheme of things? Have these things taken place? Yes! The dark day, earthquakes everywhere, starvation, droughts, famines, unstoppable diseases, WWI and II. What does this mean for us? Jesus' second coming is right around the corner! The Bible says that "as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be". The earth is, to say the least, just as corrupt as it was in the days of Noah. The next thing to take place in the turn of events is the worldwide proclamation of the Sunday Law. What do...
